Strengthen Our Economy, Prosperity & Fiscal Responsibility

 
The American economy is in the midst of escalating deficits, spiraling downward standards of living, increasing poverty levels, and sluggish GDP. There are many reasons for this; much has to do with business as usual in Washington. For it is, when certain business and vested interests win, the working class and the middle class loose.

Under the stewardship of George Bush, the US economy has seen the highest deficits in US history, fiscal irresponsibility, mismanagement of the economy, rich getting richer, business interests winning over public interests, and increasing burden on the working families and middle class.

Gaurav Bhola believes that America deserves someone that will work to implement policies that are in the economic interests of the public. We need to hold our representatives to higher standards. Our businesses need to uphold higher standards of corporate integrity.

As your Congressman, Gaurav Bhola will hold special interest accountable, so that true economic financial benefits are provided to middle class and working families.

Economic Growth & Prosperity, Fiscal Responsibility

Gaurav doesn’t believe that the ends justify the means because that leads to corruption. What we need is action that is commensurate with responsibility and accountability.

He doesn’t believe that fiscal responsibility and good governance are mutually exclusive. We can return fiscal responsibility to Washington and implement good governance for the economic benefit of the American people at the same time.

America’s road to fiscal responsibility must start with the end to the War in Iraq. Ending the Iraq War serves our strategic interests and our long-term national economic interests. The billions saved from the Iraq War can be directed towards programs that provide real economic benefits to the American public.

Also, Congress needs to be more accountable to the American people, provide more transparency. Increased transparency and accountability to the American people will lessen government waste and pork-barrel projects.

Our representatives in Washington need to roll back the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. Tax benefits need to be given to people who need them, the middle class and working families. The hard work of the middle class, working families, and small business spurs our economic growth. Since their dedication and strong work ethic play an important role in the expansion of the American economy, they deserve to share in America’s prosperity as well.
